MUSICAL WORLD XXIII

The Victoria School Concert Band will be holding a night concert on the June 12 in 7.30pm. It will be held in the Victoria Concert Hall.

Victoria School Concert Band had garnered Gold in the recent SYF Competition of Concert Band and performed in several occasions. Under the baton of Mr Tan Beng Wee, the band will wow you down with its various pieces and numbers that may sound intimidating to the ears of other musicians.

Pieces Most Probably Playing:
Inn of Sixth Happiness - A long touching piece played for SYF
Merry Widow - Another SYF piece that exposes the band to different tempo and feel
Symphonic Movement - Our SYF piece that will bring shivers
American Graffiti XVI Oldies - Old tunes that will bring you back to the oldies

The Alumni Band will also be there with its dedicated past batches of Victorians. Despite their busy schedules, they had made time to perform in the concert.

Come along and be a part of this concert. For Victorians, please support the Band and the School by attending this event. Your support will be great to continue our pursuit for the excellence of Music Performance.

Tickets available at $10 from the nearest Main Band Member or preferably you would like to drop your order along with your email to either me or Sherman.

Sectionals Schedule Till Further Notice

This will be the Sectionals schedule for both Main Band Euphonists and Junior Band Euphonists.

Please take note.

Main Band

Monday - 2.00 pm to 6.30 p.m.

Thursday - 2.00 pm to 6.30 p.m.

For Main Band only, please be settled at the locations by the instructed time, not set off on that time. It is always good to be early. =D

Junior Band

Monday - 2.00 pm to 5 p.m.

Thursday - 2.00 pm to 5 p.m.

Please don't be late.

Likely Locations

Fifth Level Near or At the Parade Square

If you are not coming, will be coming late, or need to leave early, please inform via SMS at least 6 hours before the sectionals. If possible, please inform both sec 3s the day before.

Update

Sectionals at 15 of May, Friday. To be confirmed. Location near the field as to not interrupt the exams. The same place as last time.

The deadline to perform the pieces fully is June Holidays. Remember work hard and smart.
